Huntington Learning Center of Yorktown is looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable Part-Time English Tutors to help high school students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and prepare for the SAT and ACT!
You’ll work one-on-one with 11th and 12th-grade students, helping them master English concepts, develop effective test-taking strategies, and feel more confident heading into test day. Every student follows a personalized program tailored to their individual needs, so you can focus on what matters most: helping students succeed!

No prior tutoring experience? No problem! We're happy to welcome recent college graduates, current teachers, and retired educators. As long as you have the right educational background and a passion for helping students, we'd love to hear from you!
What We're Looking For:
- A completed Bachelor's degree.
- A background in English, English Language Arts (ELA), or a related field.
- Strong English skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- A positive, patient, and encouraging approach to working with students.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to our Yorktown Heights center.
Position Details:
- Position: Part-Time English Tutor – SAT/ACT Exam Prep.
- Pay: $17–$22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Hours: 10–30 hours per week.
- Schedule: Year-round position; we do not hire seasonally.
School-Year Center Hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 2:00 PM–8:30 PM.
- Friday: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM.
- Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
